Your questions, answered

Before the clear-out.

Is this a man-and-van moving service?

Our man-and-van service is for waste removal and disposal only. We do not offer house moves, relocations, deliveries, construction or demolition work, skip hire or grab hire.

Do you collect builders’ rubbish?

Yes. We collect waste already produced by building and DIY work for disposal. Send photographs and separate quantities for rubble, timber, plasterboard and other materials. We do not carry out construction, strip-outs or demolition; materials must be ready for collection. Heavy loads are assessed by weight as well as volume.

How much does waste removal cost?

A useful quote starts with an item list or photographs. The quantity, weight, type of waste, loading arrangements and access can all affect the price. Contact us with those details and check what the quote includes before booking.

Can I arrange a single-item collection?

Yes. Our man-and-van waste service covers single unwanted items as well as larger loads for disposal. Send a photo, approximate dimensions, your postcode and access details for a quote.

Do you offer same-day rubbish removal?

Call to check current availability. A same-day or next-day collection is not confirmed until the items, access, quote and time have been agreed.

What information should I email for a quote?

Include your collection postcode, a list of items, clear photographs, preferred dates, and details of stairs, lifts and parking. Mention heavy, electrical or unusual items separately.

Can all types of waste be collected?

We collect a broad range of household and commercial waste for disposal. Some materials require separate handling or a specialist disposal route. Identify paint, chemicals, batteries, suspected asbestos and other unusual waste before booking; acceptance is confirmed for the specific load.

Do I need to move everything outside?

Explain where the items currently are and whether there are stairs or other access restrictions. Agree the loading arrangements before moving heavy or awkward items. Keep exits and shared access clear.

Is this a council bulky-waste collection service?

No. 1st For Waste is a separate waste removal contact. If you want a council collection, check your local council’s service, accepted items and booking arrangements directly.
